Treasurers Report: Deans Distributing $3325 Donation not transferred in yet. Gary P. made motion to accept, Jeff A. seconded. Motion carried.
Bleacher Update: The new motion to donate up to $4000 for bleachers to be matched by Tri County Optimists was discussed. Tri County is unable to make a matching donation until next year. We will bring back up on the Feb. agenda for a vote in March.
Basketball – Tournament dates are set for the Girls Tournament and 3rd grade Boys on Jan. 11,12,13 and Boys Jan. 18, 19, 20 for grades 4-8. Referee pay will stay at $20 per game. Darrell Splan was added as concession coordinator for 3rd grade boys and Lori Jensen for 4th grade girls. We need a volunteer to pick out and coordinate trophies for the tournament. Shelly Liska is retiring from these duties after many years of helping out. We discussed trophies versus T-shirts, etc. We will have pool t-shirts for sure as that is one of Pulaski’s traditions that teams look forward to. We also discussed kitchen use during the tournaments. We will not be able to use the kitchens at the schools AT ALL. Another room with sinks for clean up will be available. To use the kitchens requires us to hire a kitchen staff person and that could cost us $3000 for a weekend. This is due to the food safety requirements the schools must abide by. If the concession system does not work out well, especially at the high school, we may need to work with the Booster Club to use their concession area.
Gym scheduling to be conducted after the November PYO meeting. Next sign up in December after the PYO meeting.
Discussion on a change in the 3rd grade boys program. Suggestions for more 3 on 3 play and use of lower baskets, etc. The 3rd grade coaches were asked to gather information during the season to make recommendations for possible changes next year. This year’s tournament, etc. is already set so it is too late to make significant changes now.
Motion to adjourn by Todd G., Al H. seconded. Motion carried. Next Meeting: Jan. 2 LGI1 at High School 7 pm.
