PYO Minutes from Meeting on Feb. 6, 2008

Secretaries Report:  was read. Tournament dates were clarified – see below. Gary P. made motion to accept, Tina W. seconded.  Motion carried.  

Treasurers Report:   was read.  Deans Distributing money not received yet.  Jeff Anklam made a motion to accept, Jesse Lardnois seconded.  Motion carried.

Scholarships:  2008 forms are available at the High School.  March 31 will be the deadline to apply.  School needs to know recipients by May 2.  Awards banquet is May 21.  Committee will be selected next month.

Bleachers:  Need to get an update from Tri County.  Kevin Bliese and Bob Kapla to get update from Kevin Schuetpelz at Tri County.

Basketball – Tournaments went well.  Consider posting final results on the website.  Consider going to a two day tournament for both boys and girls.  May be forced to due to Friday night games.  Thank you to the Jensen’s, Halla’s and Splan’s for running the concessions stands for the tournaments.  Todd Gutzman to convey our thanks to the Booster Club for use of the concession area at the High School.  Diane Przybylski to set up a meeting to discuss changes to tournaments and code of conduct for next year.

Bylaws Change Proposal:

                                                Article III Membership

3. Membership is gained by purchasing a Pulaski Youth Organization card for $10.00 per family.  This is a one time fee only.  A per participant, per sport, annual participation fee will be required to be a member of a PYO tournament team.  A per family/per sport maximum will be set at 2 times the participation fee.  The PYO offers a reduced fee for children participating in our sport activities based on household income and the number of children participating in the sport.  Payment of the participant fee will fulfill the $10 membership fee for new families.

It was discussed that the fee will be set annually by vote at a PYO meeting.  This proposal will be voted on in March.
