PYO Minutes from Meeting on April 2, 2008

Members in attendance:  Kevin Bliese, Gary Przybylski, Wayne Kaczrowski, Todd Gutzman, Steve Sorenson, Darrell Splan, Mark Wichman, Jeff Anklam, Todd Stiede,  Mitch Brabender, Sharon Brabender, Al, Halla, Jim Doell, Paul Ford, Tom Folk, Steve Armstrong, Jennifer Simmons, Chris Karcz, Dave Tomashek, Mike Zablocki, Dan Wirtz, Wayne Butz, Bruce Reinhard, Kelly VanLannen, John Keyes, Chad Bergen, ? Kusher.

Secretaries Report:  was read. Kevin B.made motion to accept, Todd G. seconded.  Motion carried.   Treasurers Report:  was read.  Jennifer Simmons made a motion to accept, Kevin Bliese seconded.  Motion carried.

Scholarships:  Committee volunteers are: Mitch Brabender, Tina Watermelon, Renae Bliese, Steve Sorenson, Brian Hickson, Bruce Reinhard (chair), Kari Splan.  Guidelines for the committee were set at a limit of $1500 with a motion by Kevin Bliese, second by Steve Armstrong.  They set up a date to meet.

Memorial Park and Bleachers:  A group of 7 people representing PGSA, Tri County and PYO met and developed a plan for Village Park improvements.  They reported:

1)     Share a field prep Gator – Kevin Bliese looking into

2)     Upgrade netting – Steve Sorenson looking into

3)     Village added dirt to the fields – complete

4)     Bathrooms – ugrade ventilation – village

5)     $3000 from each group to fund another set of bleachers

Steve Sorenson made a motion to donate up to $3000 for the set of bleachers.  Kevin Bliese seconded.  Vote will take place at May meeting.

Post Prom:

The request for $500 donation was voted on.  Approved.

Basketball – Return uniforms as soon as possible.  Todd and Diane will go through them and also check supplies.  Bob Popelka has an alternate supplier for trophies to consider.

Softball and Baseball – Sign up for Spring sport gym use through Diane Przybylski.  Plan on 2 week notice. Field work will be done by Zach Zablocki.  Motion made by Kevin Bliese, seconded by Mitch Brabender to keep the pay the same as last year.  Motion carried.  Umpires for baseball, motion made by Wayne Budz and seconded by Steve Sorenson to keep the pay the same as last year.  Motion carried.  Concession Stands – Renae Bliese will buy the food but will not coordinate.  Need coordinators for each tournament.  Northern Designs is doing t-shirts again.  Need all teams signed up for the Pulaski tournaments to submit rosters that we can get to Northern.  Sales increase dramatically when the team rosters are printed on the clothing.  Gary Karcz Jr. will be a beverage server.

Tryout Schedules:

Sunday, April 27 Girls 12 and under 2:30 – 5:00, 14 and under  12:00- 2:30.

Kevin Bliese to set up sign up sheets for girls.
