Baseball: Tournaments went well. Next year: Would like to move the whole tournament to the ball diamond by starting on Thursday. Be more careful about pools and cut off at 8 or 12 instead of 10 teams. The parent crew worked well with people being signed up for the times that they helped out. Would include this again next year. Tina proposed that we add a league commissioner in addition to the tournament team commissioner next year. Painted in foul line were very helpful. Sherwin Williams in Shawano will let us use the machines if we buy paint from them. PYO has a paint striper from the football program.
Softball: Tournaments went well despite a lot of rain. Next Year: Consider more prizes versus just 1st and 2nd. T-shirts were well received.
For both tournaments – need to increase portapotties and the frequency of cleaning. Also, we need the village to take care of the toilets in the bathrooms. They continue to be a problem with plugging and flooding.

Commissioner: Open Commissioner: Todd Stiede
Board will approve the coaches and vote on lead coaches after the September meeting. Todd Stiede proposed moving the 3rd grade boys tournament to the boys weekend. Approved. Jay Robaidek set up open gyms for boys basketball from 6-7:30 on Thursdays and Sundays at PHS. Jay supervises. All ages are welcome.
Donation: 7 Cell Phone Holders for Custodial Staff phones. Cost around $30 a piece. Hold on this donation. The request was not meant for the PYO. It was meant for a school district office.
New Business: Request for 4th score board controller. We don’t have an estimate but agreed, if reasonably priced, that we should do this. Motion made to donate up to $700 for a controller. Terry B. seconded. Motion carried. A quote will be obtained. Vote next month.
Jay Robaidek brought up a proposal to have a sponsorship program at the ball diamonds using vinyl banners on the fences. The money generated would be funneled into field improvements. This would need to be coordinated with the village and with PGSA sponsorship programs but in general, there was support for the idea.
Motion by Todd S. and 2nd by Tom R. to Adjourn Motion carried.
