PYO Minutes from April 7, 2010

Sec Report was read: Todd G. motion to accept, 2nd by Kevin B., Motion carried.

Treasurers Report was read: Motion by Todd G., 2nd by Tom R.  Motion carried.

 

Pulaski Soccer Team Sponsorship Proposal  Vote: In March Jenny Steichen brought a proposal for the PYO to sponsor a Pulaski Soccer Association team because there has been a large increase in the number of teams – cost $125.  Vote was taken.  Donation approved.

 

Election of Board Members:

          Steve Armstrong (I)  Jim Kaczrowski

          Todd Stiede             Rachel Johnson

          Jon Lemin                Doug Egnarski

          We voted to fill 3 board positions.  Steve, Rachel and Doug were elected.

 

Baseball:  Liquor Licenses – Jeff W. to apply for them.  Gary Karcz can be listed as a trained server.  Information on the tournaments is on the website.  Umpire pay:

League:  Pony $25 Plate, $20 Field

             Babe $40 Plate, $40 Field

             T-Ball $15, 15

Tournament: per the requested compensation from the Appleton ump group:

$25, $25 for up to 11, $65 per game (split by umps) for over 11.

 

The board president, Jay brought forward a proposal prepared by the board for baseball uniforms.  It is a large amount but it would take care of all the remaining needs.  A motion was made to spend $7000 to buy t-shirts and hats for ages 7-10 and uniform tops and hats for 11-15’s.  After reviewing PYO financial situation, motion made by Tina W., seconded by Wayne K. to approve the purchase as proposed.  Motion carried.

 

Softball: Kevin will get comparables and bring to June meeting if changes are needed from the $30, $25 we have been paying.

 

Field gator work will be done by a hired team.  $500 per tournament.  Parents and coaches will continue to help with raking, striping, garbage, etc as needed to support.

 

The diamonds need their final top coat of the new material.  Scheduled for Thursday, April 8th.  Need to be ready for game time.

 

Scholarship Committee:  Mickey Lemin, Jenny Steichen, Kevin Bliese, Maureen Marohnic, Tina Watermelon, Bob Kapla.  Kevin to get the applications and get the group together to review.

 

New Business:  Gator repairs were discussed.  Tire, oil change, tune up, filters, check fuse for attachment.  Dale K. to take in to repair shop.

 

Chris K. made a motion to adjourn.  Jim K. seconded.  Motion carried.
