| Parents - Welcome to the Pulaski Youth Organization! | |
|
As each new season begins we look forward to our youth athletes participating in some of their favorite sports. We will watch as they build and strengthen their abilities, sportsmanship, and team values. We should all strive to create a positive experience for everyone involved.
The Pulaski Youth Organization is made up of parent volunteers, working together to make everything come together as smoothly as possible. As parents of our youth athletes, it is very important to realize that this organization’s success depends on you. Each parent is encouraged to become active members in the PYO. You are invited to attend our monthly meetings, every 1st Wednesday of the month, 7 PM at the PACE office.

| What is a PYO tournament team? | |
| A PYO tournament team consists of a similar age group of youth athletes. These athletes participate in regular team practices and travel to tournaments in communities throughout northeast Wisconsin. Tournaments typically take place on the weekend, Friday - Sunday. Transportation of the athletes is the responsibility of the parents. A commitment to attend team practices and tournaments is important for the building of the team concept and individual skill development. Tournament locations and dates are up to the head coach of each team. | |
| How do I sign my child up for a PYO team? | |
| Team tryouts are held for each team. The tryouts
are scheduled by the coach prior to the start of the season. Watch
for notices coming home from school, this website or contact the coach
listed for your child's age on the Baseball/Basketball
pages. Attend the tryout to learn more! NOTE: To sign up for a PYO team the parent or youth MUST live in the Pulaski School district OR be enrolled in the Pulaski School District. For more information please see the PYO Constitution. |
|
| What does membership in the Pulaski Youth Organization cost? | |
| Parents with a child on a PYO tournament team must become members of the Pulaski Youth Organization. Membership is gained by purchasing a Pulaski Youth Organization card for $10.00 per family. This is a one time fee only. Complete the PYO Membership Form. | |
| What other requirements are there to participate? | |
| Each family with a child on a PYO team must work two assigned shifts in the concession stand during the PYO hosted tournament for the season. Typically both parents will be assigned to work the same shift. FAILURE TO PARTICIPATE in the concession stand work shift will result in your athlete being unable to participate on a PYO tournament team in the next season. Please note that PYO can not exist without the assistance of parent volunteers so your cooperation is greatly appreciated! | |
